Banco di Caribe takes 2nd place at Curaçao Corporate Challenge 2023!

WILLEMSTAD: The Children's Music Week 2023 took place from March 24th to April 2nd, and was a resounding success! Banco di Caribe is happy to have been part of this festival. Children enjoyed a week dedicated entirely to songs they will remember for the rest of their lives. This year the foundation explored the theme 'Around the world'. One of the main goals was to introduce children to music while discovering and developing their talents.

During the Children's Music Week, all kids and teens between the ages of 2 and 18 were given the opportunity to participate in several music workshops at school and at community centers. During these workshops, they learned songs from the past, made instruments and took dance classes. The Bèti Doran foundation also brought music to the neighborhoods through a 'roadshow' and ‘live music’ was presented daily at Brionplein, Wilhelminaplein, Fuik and in Bándabou.

In addition to donating funds to the foundation for this year’s Children's Music Week, Banco di Caribe also contributed with prizes for the schools with the most extraordinarily talented children. Banco di Caribe wishes the Bèti Doran Foundation success with its activities, and especially with the development of educational and social projects for all children and teens in Curaçao. This workshop was given by Rignald Libie, who taught the kids about instruments such as the triangle, ‘djembe’ and ‘matrimonial’ – all traditional and cultural instruments of Curaçao.
